Customs officers create ruckus over parking

The way the parking slot guys fleece you in those busy places makes you feel that owning a vehicle is a big curse. The parking in the airport costs a cool hundred rupees which I can often avoid by claiming to be a Customs officer. But sometimes the parking guy is not impressed and would ask, “So what if you are Customs, pay the parking” But what happens if real Customs officers are denied parking in prime slots? They lock up the Customs station and go on strike as the officers in the Kingston Container Terminal did yesterday. The entire clearance activities came to a stand still and importers had to incur demurrage before the Customs officers persuaded to open the gates and forget about minor parking inconvenience.
