India is a difficult place to attract large amounts of FDI

Who could have said this? Surprisingly, the Finance Minister of the country! And may be his bureaucracy is to blame to a large extent. Here is what the FM said at the 21st India Economic Summit:-

  • We attract only a fraction of FDI

  • India is a difficult place to attract large amounts of FDI

  • There has been some rethinking on this. We have opened a few doors and need to open a few more to attract FDI

  • It is only through this that we can take advantage of a young and educated workforce that will only grow

What we lack is the killer instinct. We are efficient, while China is ruthlessly efficient - P. Chidambaram

Until tomorrow with more DDT

Have a nice day.
