Chemical Weapons Convention – Re- assignment of 8 digit codes.
DGFT clarifies that the Government has re assigned 8 digit of ITC(HS) Codes to the Scheduled Chemicals of CWC and notified them in the Customs Tariff. It is reiterated that export of these chemicals will be allowed only after due consideration by DGFT(hqrs) and imports are free except from the countries who have not signed the convention or who have not notified the chemical weapons.
