Exchange Rates amended – US Dollar at Rs. 50.33
The Government has amended the exchange rates for Imports and Exports – for imports, now the US Dollar is worth Rs. 50.33 compared to Rs. 46.75 fixed for the month starting from 1 st October 2008.
The new rates are effective from 24th October, 2008. Now exporters and importers have to keep a close watch on the exchange rates before importing and exporting – bad times for the economy indeed.
