Anti dumping duty on vitrified and porcelain tiles – provisional assessment

Anti dumping duty on vitrified and porcelain tiles, other than vitrified industrial tiles, falling under Chapter 69 originating in, or exported from, the People's Republic of China and United Arab Emirates (UAE) and imported into India was imposed by Notification No 73/2003-Customs, dated the 1st May, 2003,

And M/s. Guangdong Monalisa Ceramic Co. Ltd., and M/s. Foshan Monalisa Industry Co. Ltd from People's Republic of China have requested for review in respect of exports made by them, and the designated authority, has recommended provisional assessment. And so orders the Government.

In a similar case, after provisional assessment, finally the anti dumping duty was withdrawn for Heyuan Wanfeng Ceramics Co. Ltd., People’s Republic of China by Notification No. 95/2006-Customs, dated: September 8, 2006. And there is a close similarity. The exporter in that case was also Foshan Monalisa Industry, one of the exporters here.
