Sanjay Gandhi acquitted in TADA case?

Journalism is under great tension. In our anxiety to report fast and first, there is hardly any time for a recheck. In reporting the news of Sanjay Dutt’s TADA case, the Punjabnewsline reported that Sanjay Gandhi is acquitted. You can see the report at http://www.punjabnewsline.com/content/view/2021/46. This is not meant to slight the newsline but only to point out that such things do happen. The Printer’s devil is the nightmare of any journalist. It once created a diplomatic crisis when the German Crown Prince visited England in the 19th century. The London Times carried on its front page the headline: 'Visit of German Clown Prince.' The outraged German Ambassador demanded an immediate apology and a correction. The next day The London Times published: "We regret the error in the report of the German Crow Prince". Obviously the printer's devil was at work again but the German Ambassador wisely thought it best not to ask for another apology and a correction.

Lost in the maze of Sanjay Dutt news was the conviction of a Customs Additional Commissioner in the blast case.
