WTO to investigate U.S. Anti Dumping Duties on Indian Shrimp

The World Trade Organization has set up a panel yesterday to investigate U.S antidumping duties on shrimp.

"The United States continues to impose the WTO-inconsistent continuous bond requirement on importers of certain warm water shrimp from India in an arbitrary and discriminatory manner," is India’s complaint. Indian shrimp exporters are forced to take out a customs bond equal to about a year's worth of duties. India told the WTO that it was compelled to seek recourse to dispute settlement with WTO as USA failed to address its concerns.
