Customs Exemptions Extended
CUSTOMS Exemption Notification No. , dated 17.03.2012 has a proviso containing 21 items, some of which are omitted.
The clauses of this proviso, fix the life span of the exemption for various commodities.
Wheat against Sl. No. 34 of the table to the notification, fixes an effective rate of duty of 25%. This exemption is valid till 31st March 2016. This is now extended till 30th June 2016.
Butter, ghee and butter oil suffer an effective rate of 30% as per Sl. No. 8 of the table to the notification. But this is not applicable till 31st March 2016. This is now extended till 30th September 2016.
