CBDT to fill up vacancies

Inaugurating the All India Conference of Income Tax Employees Federation in Chennai yesterday Ms Baljit Matiyani, Member (Personnel), Central Board of Direct Taxes, said the government had decided to fill one third of the existing vacancies in the Income Tax Department. She said that there are 9,000 posts remaining vacant in the department.
