Court orders Rs. 1.4 Crores bail from ex-customs chief

A Special Court in Nepal demanded Rs 1.4 Crores bail amount from the then joint secretary at the Finance Ministry and ex-chief customs officer at the Tribhuvan International Airport Sabitri Rajbhandary. Rajbhandary was released after she deposited the bail amount in a corruption case alleging that she had amassed property worth Rs 29.3 million illegally and kept it in the name of her daughter Monisha, The Rising Nepal reported yesterday.
