Educational DVDs Exempted from Excise Duty
AS per Sl. No. 265 of the Table to Notification No. 12/2012-CE, dated 17.03.2012, CD-ROMs containing books of an educational nature, journal, periodicals (magazines) or news paper attract Nil rate of Excise Duty. Now, along with CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs are added to the exemption list.
