Customs - Exemption to LCD TV Panels
AS per Sl. No. 319A of the Table to the Notification No. 21/2002-Cus dated 01.03.2002, LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TV panels for manufacture of LCD TVs attract a concessional Customs duty of 5 percent subject to the condition that the importer follows the procedure set out in the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty for Manufacture of Excisable Goods) Rules, 1996.
Now the exemption will be available to “LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TV panels of 20 inches and above” without the condition.
