India - Malaysia - Preferential Trade - Rates of Duty
GOVERNMENT has notified the effective rates of Customs Duty for over 1600 items, when imported into India from Malaysia.
This exemption shall be available only if importer proves to the satisfaction of the Deputy Commissioner of Customs or Assistant Commissioner of Customs, as the case may be, that the goods in respect of which the benefit of this exemption is claimed are of the origin of Malaysia, in accordance with provisions of the Customs Tariff [Determination of Origin of Goods under the Preferential Trade Agreement between the Governments of the Republic of India and Malaysia] Rules, 2011, notified by Notification No. 43/2011-Customs (N.T.), dated the 1 st July, 2011.
