Survey and Investigation Branch in Delhi Service Tax Commissionerate
The Delhi Service Tax Commissionerate has constituted a “Survey and Investigation Branch” (SIB) headed by an Assistant/Deputy Commissioner.
The SIB is for:-
Data collection on the basis of various sources like website, yellow pages for the purpose of the identification of Service Tax assessees not registered with the Service Tax Department.
Conducting physical surveys for identifying the service tax providers who are not registered with the department, in particular new services.
Verification of the references received from other Commissionerate/Higher formations regarding the proper payment of Service Tax.
The implementation of the Action Plan or such plans as issued by the Board from time to time.
Disseminate information to potential charts to improve level of voluntary compliance.
