One Crore worth Diamonds lost in Chennai Customs?

While it is data that is lost by the British Customs, in far away Chennai, the Customs seems to have lost diamonds worth over a Crore of Rupees.

Sources say that the diamonds seized in 1990, kept in the warehouse have been replaced with polished stones, which was detected early this year. It seems the Department has complained to the CBI.
