Export of rice prohibited
It was only just a week ago on 8th October that DGFT allowed free export of rice. Please see - 10.10.2007.
Now the DGFT has issued a notification prohibiting export of rice other than basmati rice - and retrospectively with effect from 9.10.2007. Can the DGFT retrospectively prohibit export? What happens to exports already made from 9th to 15th October?
