Customs, please give publicity to your seizures!
A drug smuggler who lost two bags of cocaine after hiding them at the entrance to a Boy Scout camp allegedly asked authorities to get him out of jam with his supplier.
Federal agents claim Leroy Carr, who was arrested on charges of cocaine possession in Washington state, contacted Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and asked that they issue a press release announcing the seizure of his drugs.
That way, he said, his drug-dealing bosses would know he didn't steal the coke himself.
