Antidumping duty on Paracetamol from China
It was in 2002 that by Notification No. 89/2001-Customs, dated the 6th September, 2001, that anti dumping duty was imposed on paracetamol originating in, or exported from, the People's Republic of China. This was to expire on 5th September 2006 and was further extended and would have expired on 5th September 2007. The Government has this time around acted before the lapsing and imposed a fresh lease of anti dumping for another five years and consequently Notification No. 67/2005-Customs, dated the 19 th July 2005, is rescinded.
