No Service Tax on services rendered abroad before 18.4.2006

It has finally come! There is no Service Tax on services rendered abroad. In a landmark judgement, the Ahmedabad Bench of the Tribunal has held that services received by Indians abroad are not taxable prior to 18.4.2006 when Section 66A was inserted into the Finance Act, 1994.
