Export of sugar – DGFT allots quota

The DGFT has allocated a total quantity of 26,000 MTs of Raw Sugar out of free sale portion of 2006-2007 season’s production for export to USA and EU for the fiscal year 2007 as

(i) 16000 MTs as Raw Sugar to EU; and

(ii) 10000 MTs as preferential Raw Cane Sugar Tariff Rate Quota to USA .
