Tomorrow is International Customs day

To commemorate the 1st Session of the Customs Cooperation Council held on January 26^th, 1953, January 26^th was declared as International Customs Day. The WCO has designated Customs and commercial fraud as the theme of the year for 2005.

As January 26^th happens to be a holiday in India, most of the Custom Houses will be celebrating Customs Day on 25^th January. On this day let us remember that our Customs officers do valuable work, perform an important public service and their efforts are appreciated. TIOL greets all the Customs officers on the occasion.
