Union Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh announced in the border customs station of petrapole that a Land Customs Port Authority of India is being set up at a cost of Rs. 800 crore to run and manage border trading centres. Thirteen border trading centres will be developed around the country, eight of which will be on the Indo-Bangladesh border. A new Land Custom Station will be coming up at Petrapole at a cost of Rs. 80 crore,
