The Week after VCES - 50% not paid - Assessee arrested

IN one of the first post-VCES actions, the Surat Service Tax Department is reported to have arrested an assesse who failed to pay 50% of the declared tax dues of Rs. 7.82 Crores under VCES. The accused has been sent to judicial custody till January 21.
