Customs House used this amazing "trick" in the car clearance process by "storing" all the "personal information" of the cars in the bar code. When processing the declarations, Customs officers just need to use the scanner and wait for the "jump" of all the data into the computer system themselves upon a "dee" sound.
"Don't ignore these 12 seconds, as every second saved will do more good to the Customs and the Business", said the Chief of the Customs Control Section.
According to the statistics, more than 14,000 cars have been imported during the first 7 months this year - that is 2000 cars per month - almost seventy cars a day!
