Customs Duty on Bio Diesels Increased from 2.5 to 10 percent

AS per Sl. No. 585 of Notification No. 21/2002-Cus, ‘Alkyl esters of long chain fatty acids obtained from vegetable oils, commonly known as bio-diesels' attract an effective rate of 2.5% Customs Duty. Now this is increased to 10%.
