Expeditious Disposal of Cases Involving Public Servants Due to Retire Shortly - CVC Is Serious

CVC had impressed upon the Ministries/Departments on the need for expeditious completion of disciplinary proceedings against officials likely to retire. But CVC has found that some departments have a marked tendency to refer the vigilance cases to the Commission seeking its advice at the last moment - sometimes even a few days before the retirement of the officers.
The CVC takes a serious note of such lax attitude!
