Central Government approves one more research institute as ‘Other Institution'
IN terms of s. 35(1)(i) of Income Tax Act, 1961 read with rules 5C and 5E of Income Tax Rules, 1962, the Central Government has approved B.M. Birla Science & Technology Centre, Jaipur as one of the institutions eligible to claim deductions for expenditure on research activities from AY 2009-10 onwards subject to fulfilling the conditions prescribed in the Notification.
