MES Engineer arrested by CBI
THE Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Assistant Garrison Engineer, MES, Ambala for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. one lakh from the complainant.
The complainant, a private contractor has lodged a complaint in CBI alleging that the accused has demanded an illegal gratification of Rs. one lakh for signing his Measurement Books and also allowing him extension of time. The CBI registered a case and laid a trap. The accused was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. one lakh from the complainant.
Incriminating documents recovered during the search at premises of accused are being scrutinized for further investigation.
