Procedure for payment of pension / other benefits to All India Service Officers retiring from Central / State Governments – Liability under Sixth Pay Commission
The issue of bearing the liability of arrears of All India Service officers related to Sixth Pay Commission by the Government of India has been considered in consultation with the Ministry of Finance.
It has been decided that the arrears will be paid in two instalments of 40% & 60% in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 respectively for All India Service officers. Arrears paid up to 31.3.2008 are debitable to State Governments and arrears from 1.4.2008 are debitable to the Central Government.
All the State Government are requested take necessary action in accordance with the above.
