Exemption under chapter headings 32,38,39,44 or 70 of Excise Tariff
Notification 6/2002 CE dated 1.3.2002 has been amended vide Notification No 29/2005- Central Excise, dated the 31st May, 2005 to exempt specified goods falling under chapter headings 32,38,39,44 or 70 for the manufacture of rotor blades for wind operated electricity generator. It has also been clarified that imports will also be eligible for this exemption from Additional duty of Customs (CVD), imposed under section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, provided the importer produces the required certificate from the Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources.
