Safeguard Duty on Dimethoate Technical and Aluminium Flat Rolled Products
Government has imposed a safeguard duty at the rate of 28 per cent ad valorem on Dimethoate Technical, falling under tariff item 3808 91 23 of the First Schedule to the said Act, when imported into India.
This will not apply to imports from developing countries other than the People's Republic of China.
The safeguard duty shall be effective up to and inclusive of the 8th October, 2009.
Safeguard Duty is also imposed
a) at the rate of 21 per cent ad valorem on all goods falling under heading 7606 (Aluminium Flat Rolled Products) of the First Schedule to the said Act, when imported into India from People's Republic of China; and
b) at the rate of 35 per cent ad valorem on all goods falling under heading 7607 (Aluminium Foil) of the First Schedule to the said Act, when imported into India from People's Republic of China.
This will also be valid till 8th October, 2009.
