Import of Raw Sugar – AU Condition not to apply
Duty Free Imports against an Advance Licence or Advance Authorisation under Notification No. 93/2004-Customs and against an Advance Licence for Annual Requirement or Advance Authorisation for Annual Requirement under Notification No. 94/2004-Customs, are subject to Actual User Condition.
Now these Notifications are amended to stipulate that the actual user condition specified shall not be applicable in respect of authorisation issued for import of raw sugar for imports made from 17 th February, 2009 till 30 th September, 2009 and the export obligation may also be fulfilled by procuring white sugar from any other factory with effect from the 17 th February, 2009.
