Service Tax – CCs can also assign Investigation and Adjudication to Commissioners

As per Notification No. 16/2007 – ST dated 19.04.2007, Commissioners of Central Excise are vested with the powers of Investigation and adjudication of such cases, as may be assigned by the Board throughout the territory of India.

Now the Chief Commissioners can also do the vesting within his jurisdiction.
