It's a phrase that evokes images of shoppers storming malls with credit cards drawn, avenging years of deferred purchases and slab confusion. </font></p> <p align="justify"><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">But here's the catch: will traders actually reduce prices? </font></p> <p align="justify"><font color="#ff0000" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Anti-Profiteering: The Vanishing Watchdog </font></p> <p align="justify"><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Section 171 of the CGST Act required businesses to pass on tax rate reductions to consumers. The National Anti-Profiteering Authority (NAA) was set up to enforce this. With input costs streamlined and compliance simplified, manufacturers can focus on production rather than paperwork. </font></p> <p align="justify"><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">But input tax credit disputes will still linger. Fake invoices, blocked credits, and truck detentions for minor mismatches will continue to haunt the supply chain. The Central Bureau of Investigation apprehended two individuals as they attempted to hand over the bribe. </font></p> <p align="justify"><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">The officer's decision to report the bribe, rather than pocket it, is a quiet triumph in a system often accused of opacity and coercion. For small traders, this means calling the software guy. For large enterprises, it means calling the software guy's entire family. </font></p> <p align="justify"><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Input Tax Credit Reconciliation : With rate changes and classification tweaks, ITC claims will need tighter matching.
