<p align="justify"><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>DIRECTORATE</strong> General, Central Excise Intelligence (DGCEI) issues Show Cause Notices (SCNs), which are adjudicated by jurisdictional Central Excise Officers. In the recent cadre review they created several posts of Commissioners, which included four posts of Commissioners (Adjudication) two each for DRI and DGCEI. These Adjudication Commissioners will not obviously adjudicate all cases. </font></p>
<p align="justify"><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Now CBEC has come out with a Circular specifying the cases to be adjudicated by the ADG(Adjudication) of DGCEI and jurisdictional Central Excise officers. </font></p>

<p align="justify"><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>GOVERNMENT</strong> has considered representations and feedback related to the All Industry Rates (AIR) of Duty Drawback that were made effective from 22.11.2014 and has notified certain amendments effective from 13.02.2015 vide Notification Nos. <strong><a href="http://www.taxindiaonline.com/RC2/notDesc.php?MpoQSrPnM=MTc2NzI=" target="_blank">20/2015-Customs (N.T.)</a> </strong>and<strong> <a href="http://www.taxindiaonline.com/RC2/notDesc.php?MpoQSrPnM=MTc2NzE=" target="_blank">21/2015-Customs (N.T.)</a></strong>, both dated 10.02.2015. </font></p>

Agriculture commodities must be inspected by CBP agriculture specialists to prevent the entry of foreign plant pests and diseases into the United States. </font></p>
<p align="justify"><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Although chocolate-covered strawberries are perfectly fine to cross, there are some other favourites to avoid. Many fruits such as melons, berries, pineapples and bananas are admissible, but most citrus is prohibited. Some commonly seized fruits are apples, oranges, mangos, guavas and pears. </font></p>
