E59 in Input Output Norms of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09 has been substituted with Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) eggs instead of commercial hatching eggs. The import will be permitted only from countries which are free from highly pathogenic avian influenza also known as fowl plague.<br> <br> DGFT Public Notice No. 37/2004-09, dated 27-12-2004.</font></p> <p align="center"><font color="#006633" size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> <b>Exchange rates announced for imported goods and export goods</b></font></p> <p><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Notification Nos 148 and 149/2004-Cus. (N.T.), dated 28-12-2004 fix the exchange rates for imports and exports respectively with effect from 1st January, 2005. Notifications 129 and 130/2004-Cus. (N.T.), dated 24-11-2004 are superseded.</font></p> <p align="center"><font color="#006633" size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> <b>Import of metallic waste and scrap to be allowed through more ports</b></font></p> <p><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> Import of metallic waste and scrap in unshredded, compressed, and loose form shall be allowed through only seventeen notified ports and some ICDs. The DGFT had vide Public Notice No. 15/2004, dated 9-10-2004 amended pare 2.32(1) to allow such unshredded scarp only through the major ports and ICD Thuglakabad.
